I love the pops of green! Find some fabric with that happy color and cover a huge Goodwill oil painting/frame...that's all the ideas I have! Following you now!

It looks beautiful Wendy. Wires are always problematic? I'm no expert, but maybe you could skirt the table with some cool fabric on three sides of the table to hide wires? The side where the chair goes that you can't see would be open. The wires could be run through the fabric so you wouldn't see them. Just staple gun the fabric on and place some decorative tacks around the edge. Or get another desk and place them parallel to each other. Place one desk on the wall with the iron wall decor and put the computer on that one. Hide the wires by taping them to the back of one of the desk legs. Put the excess wires in a basket under the desk. The other desk could be placed parralel a few feet away with the desk chair inbetween. It would be placed where you currently have the desk now. This other desk would be for writing notes or spreading out papers when working. Your pretty things like the acrlyic paper holder and some of your accessories could be placed on this desk. Not sure I explained that well? Or you could just go out and by an Apple and not worry about wires!
ReplyDeleteLove the pops of green too! I too was going to suggest buying a great piece of fabric and covering a painter's canvas (Megan, Honey We're Home, did one for her dining room and it looks great). I HATE wires!! My new office, still a work in progress, is mostly wire free. I switched to my laptop versus our massive desktop (that no one hardly used anyhow), and I bought a printer stand/file drawer unit to hold my printer...it's great because it hides the printer wires and holds a ton of supplies (paper and such). Now I just occassionally plug my laptop in to recharge, but the cords are easy to tuck away in a basket. You could use clips, command adhesvie, paint them and run the cords down the legs to hide them a bit more. Or they make the ones to hide lighting cords for things like sconces you hang on the wall. Love the reading nook.
ReplyDeleteThat chartreuse is one of my favorite colors.
