the girls won out...fall dining room table.

that's right.
the girls won out.

they got their orange...red, yellow.

whatever.

i can't be a mean mom
after all.

 so what do you think?
i'd say it's pretty true to me,
barring the sprig of orange, but
i figure.
i can't let the girls have a warped childhood, right?
yeah.
that's what i was thinking...

help me out here.
did i pull it off?

hope so.

so that's the dining room.
tell me about yours...

first official dinner guests

we had our first
official
dinner guests.

these guys.
we were so happy to open
our home.
feed them.
laugh with them.
raise a glass with them.

these guys
are the kings of hospitality.

this was really just pay back for
all they've already given to us.

we drank up

 and filled our bellies.

no shots of the actual food.
i was too busy shoving it down
and enjoying the table talk.

thanks,
brictor,
for a
splendid evening.

looking forward to more of the same.

share with me
great memories
made
at your
table.

love this stuff...

dining room reveal: first look

dining room
fayetteville style

if you know me,
you know,
i'm all about the neutral palette.

clearly,
not much has changed

check out the chair rail and moldings.
love the southern style

same double leaning mirrors

the windows are great.
they are almost floor to ceiling.

you can't tell,
but the porch is what you spy as you look out the windows,
that, and the black rockers.
lovely for eying the neighborhood foot traffic.

have i mentioned i love this neighborhood?

this is a traditional floor plan.
love the way each room wraps into another.

this is the view looking into the entryway.

you can see the front door
and a teeny peek into the office.

one more angle

view from entry

here is where i need your help:
wall hanging (see above)
drapery panels (see below)

thinking a horizontal broad stripe panel...

let's hear your thoughts...
