grag a comin'

this lady will be
boarding a plane in minutes.
the girls and i are giddy with anticipation.

not sure who this little lady is?

this is how

 will be her first time
to our new north carolina digs

 can't wait to show her
a proper southern welcome.

this is what we have planned:

1.  explore the culinary delights
that only fayetteville has to offer

2.  fully utilize our
and those awesome black rockers

3.  take a field trip to raleigh
for a pre-christmas shopping
extravaganza

4. get in our jams at 7:30
only to climb in bed and do hair train
with the girls.

5.  laugh...
(we do a lot of that
when grag is around)

6.  play scrabble

7.  enjoy a glass of merlot
while we make her famous mashed potatoes
that only she has perfected.
8.  count our blessings that we have each other
and live close enough for regular visits.

will let you know exactly
what we end up doing.

photos and deets comin'

tell  me how you enjoy
your most special loved ones
when you get them all to yourself.

Grag gets a new Iphone

Guess who is a new texter?

The rumor is true.
Grag got a new iphone.

Not sure she is ready for this.

This is why we are walking
slowly into
the new millenium.

This is her first picture
taken on a phone.
Ever.

Sweetest silver lining:
watching sweet Tess
teach her technology-resistant grandma
how to input contacts into her new phone.

Life is good.

Doing our part to stay connected.

Any good stories on
how you've helped a baby boomer
walk into new technology?

Grandma Comin'

Giddy.

Grandma Comin'.

I love thinking
that this little lady
gets to hang out
with us for an
ENTIRE month!

So happy.

Can you tell?

For anyone out there
who moves away
from family you
KNOW
how great it is
to get a piece of them.

All to yourself.

Today I'm off getting
guest room ready
and filling fridge.

I ask your forgiveness
in advance
if I'm not here as
often as I should be.

Off with
my lovely momma.

Read more here to see what
this little lady means to me.

Wish you could meet her.
She's the BEST!

Ever!!!!

I Couldn't Forget The Grag...One More Stocking.

I knew I had just one more to make.

I couldn't forget The Grag.

You see, a very special person will be
joining us this Christmas morning.

You'll see more on her later...promise.

Here is another version of the
Hand Made White Twill Stocking.

Again, this one is called
The Grag

This one is not as elaborate as the previous three,
but just as adore.
Only one simple ruffle
and two little rosettes.

It didn't take long.
It is a bit smaller than the others.

It's perfectly simple and elegant,
just like the gal that it will be filled for.

Here's another look.

Who doesn't love crisp, clean, white cotton?

What do you think of The Grag?
I like it, too.

As always,

for visiting.
