Hayvenhurst Estate in California

I think I have found the perfect decor.
I love the color palette. The furnishings are casual, crisp and chic.
This house looks family friendly, perfect for entertaining
and wonderfully warm yet extremely sophisticated.

I think if there was a decor I'd prefer and not change a thing...this is it!

Stumbled upon this website listing homes to be shot in a movie!
You can list your own home to be part of a movie set.
Interesting concept.

Regardless, this is my ideal eye-candy of a house, okay,
maybe on a smaller scale,
but still deliciously decorated.

Double staircase grand entry
Love the dark, dark floors...timeless!

The expansive entrance shows off those high ceilings.
Such simplicity.

Yes, this is the "eat-in" kitchen.
Seating for 12!
Big family or open doors for guests.

Rustic antique table...so inviting.
Opens up to outdoor spaces as well as access to the kitchen.

I love the two marble islands.
And do you see those amazing side by side glass front refrigerators?
I've always admired that fridge...let alone two!

Wolf range, stainless farm sink...love it.

Family room: you know I have a thing for crispy white slipcovers.
Perfection!

Office/Library

Living room: still inviting but a bit more formal.
Cooler color on the walls, chrome accents...
still consistent with the white upholstery

Again, mega seating. Perfect for entertaining.
Notice most rooms are anchored by that timeless sisal area rug.

Upstairs landing
Picture gallery amidst the white paneled hall

Love the extra shelving and would you look at that coffered ceiling.

Master Bed
You know how I feel about zebra rugs
Again, keeping with the white theme...simple bedding.

I love all the black accents not only in the Master bath,
but through out the house.
I can't help but notice the open shelving below each sink
for additional towel storage

Finally the back yard:
Plenty of lounge areas for relaxing, elegant poolside table
and even an overlook bistro set.

So what do you think?
IS this for you? Would love comments.

As always, thanks for visiting...

  9. I do agree with all of the concepts you've introduced for your post. They're very convincing and can definitely work.

Nonetheless, the posts are very short for novices.
May just you please extend them a little from subsequent
    time? Thanks for the post.

  10. I saw this home on Great Estates on the My Destinations.TV channel. It's lovely. If it's in your price range, it's worth the beauty and amenities shown. My favorite room was the master bath, done ever so tastefully.
